My first post

Hi there!

Starting a new blog to voice my point of view (POV) on things that I find interesting and things that affected my train of thoughts.

Talking about trains, recently our transport system has been rather 'not up to standard'. Taking for granted, our Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system has been running strongly for the past twenty four years till date.

Maybe due to the increase in population and the frequency of the trains, the system starts to fail us. Breaking down every now and then and caused inconvenience for its commuters. Seriously, I don't get the reason why/ how this happened.

Looking at the increase in fare since the past till now. The cost of taking train has been increasing from the time when i started taking it to primary school, till now, graduating soon from my university. Even after the break-downs, never once we were compensated in anyway. Come to think about it, where did all the extra fare goes to? In the past, when we are proud of our MRT system, I used to think that increase in that fair bit of fare will be reasonable as it will translate to better system in the future. But apparently, that's not the case now. I really hope SMRT will look into the case and do remedy actions as soon as possible to get back Singaporeans' confidence in our public transport. And i wonder why are they discussing about sharing of cost with the Land & Transport Authority (LTA) when they should have 'leeched' quite a fair bit of profits from the public for the past few years?
